Linking the Farmer, Miller, and Baker in the Southeast
Will there be any flour available for retail sales,or is this project wholesale commercial only?I'm sure that there are many who would wish for fresh,local flour for home baking needs.
We do hope to do retail sales as well, but not until year 2. We are considering our options as to how to sell directly to individuals at retail prices. I have spoken to a couple farm CSAs about piggy backing onto their CSA and we have also discussed doing our own CSA, as well as perhaps doing farmers' market once a month. Bulk bins in the store are an option, but to ensure freshness, we will enter that market slowly.
